Who Qualifies for WIC?

You may participate in the WIC program if you satisfy the following:

✓ Live in the State of Alaska

✓ Are pregnant or currently breastfeeding

✓ Postpartum (up to 6 months after birth)

✓ Have a baby or children under 5 years old

✓ Have a nutritional health need

✓ Meet family income guidelines

*Note: WIC clinical staff will help assess your nutritional needs and family income levels during your scheduled appointment.

Your First WIC Appointment

Follow these simple chronological steps to secure your supplemental benefits:

Locate & Call Clinic Office

Call 907-729-7277 to schedule a family slot. Families in remote regions may coordinate via local health clinics.

Submit Income & ID Proofs

Bring child birth certificates, proof of Alaska residency, and paycheck stubs or Medicaid enrollment verification.

Clinic Check & Card Refills

Bring all applicant infants and children to the appointment. Clinicians evaluate heights, weights, and refill EBT food cards.
